300 - NEW PARKING SPACES FOR SATISFIED CUSTOMERS - p3

When our 150 parking spaces at the Valley Station (P1) and the 200 parking spaces on our main parking lot P2 are occupied we have managed to provide new parking facilities.

From Winter 2010/11 we have created 300 new parking spaces (P3) directly above the Valley Station.

These parking spaces are accessible if you go onto “Loferer Almstrasse” about 500 m upwards in order to park about 100m above the Valley Station. From there, you can ski down to the Valley Station and start your ski day.  This also gives the advantage of easy access to your car when your skiing day is over, because the car park is positioned directly next to the piste.

Tips & Hints:
P3 is only accessible with winter tyres

P3 is not suitable for beginners or hikers, because the Valley Station is only accessible by skiing down the downhill track.

Let accompanying persons get out of the car at the valley station to buy all ski tickets etc:

P3 may not be accessible or closed on days with heavy snowfall

New optimised Training Piste at Middle Station with FIS Homologation

With the expansion of the Artificial Snow Machine System as well as improvement of our downhill courses at the Postalm T-bar Lift (Lift H – Piste 10), perfect Training pistes and courses can now be offered on Loferer Alm Middle Station.
The Black “Standard-Piste” (No 10) has been expanded and snow security is guaranteed.
FIS Homologation has been given for Slalom, but the track offers great requirements for Grand Slalom, due to its various overhangs and precipices.

Tips & Hints:
Please ensure that Training Pistes are unoccupied by contacting Loferer Alm-Bahnen

We offer a daily lift pass only for the middle station:
Adults 20 EUR
Children 10 EUR

New modern 8 seat gondola from winter 2011/12

The preparation for our new gondola to the Loferer Alm is up and running. In winter season 2011/12 the old 4 seat gondola will be replaced by a modern, comfortable 8 seat gondola lift.
Our plans include merging this new 8 seat gondola lift with Loferer Alm Bahn II in the future so changing gondolas will not be necessary anymore.
The construction will take place in two parts: In summer 2011 the first section will be replaced and a transportation capacity of 1,600 people per hour will be reached.  So far the transportation capacity was at 1,000 people per hour, which lead to long waiting times on busy days.

In 2012 or 2013 an extension of the whole ski region to the “Schwarzeck” with a modern 8 seat chairlift is planned.

In the next few years (or as soon as possible), probably 2016 or 2017, the 8 seat gondola from the Valley Station will be merged at the Middle Station and a gondola trip from the Valley Station all the way to the top will be possible without transferring gondolas.

Once the final part of our innovation plan has been completed there will be a capacity of 2,400 people per hour, meaning a quick journey for all skiers will be achieved.
